Mattias Höjer

Mattias Höjer is Associate Professor at the Division of Environmental Strategies Research – fms, and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Communications (CESC) at KTH. He has 20 years of experience in futures studies for sustainability especially in backcasting, an approach used to develop images of the future that fulfills targets that seems impossible to reach. Mattias has mainly been working on energy-related issues on long-term transport systems, cities and information technology. Since 2009, he leads CESC, a Vinnova centre of excellence working on Information and communication technology, Media and Sustainability in collaboration with the media sector, telecom companies and regional authorities.
