Globe Forum regards innovations as the key to creating a more sustainable world. For this reason Globe Forum has, since its start in 2003, focused on bringing sustainable innovations to the market.
Bringing sustainable innovations to the market, but how?
First of all we believe in the power of open innovation in providing sustainable solutions to the world’s challenges. In our leading marketplace we bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, public sector, cities and regions, giving them a natural space where breakthrough solutions can occur collaboratively.
Our marketplace is unique and facilitates for both the:
- Demand-side solutions: for companies trying to make their business more sustainable
- Supply-side solutions: for companies with sustainable products and services to sell
These are made possible by a combination of four core services
Matchmaking
Match demand and supply, expert facilitation, consulting and project management by the Globe Forum organization.
Intelligence
Keep up to date. Globe Forum fills the market gap in accelerating market adoption, providing market-leading research, industry insight and access to innovation whilst stimulating demand and removing barriers.
Crowdfunding
Globe Forum members work collectively and individually to raise funding for our innovators, this is key when bringing the sustainable innovations to the market. Globe Forum innovators will transit swiftly from seed through expansion stage and accelerate the go-to-market process for sustainable innovations which will combat climate change and increase quality of life. Again Globe Forum puts all faith in collective intelligence, as the micro investor can chose projects in which to get involved. This will provide a guide to what will be the most promising solutions.
Challenges
Innovation services for sustainable business. Be focused and define your challenge carefully, tap the right crowd i.e. The Globe Forum marketplace to generate collaborative problem-solving.
These services will bring innovations to the market faster and accelerate the implementation of sustainable business strategies to market in a carbon and cost saving way.
Sustainable innovation according to Globe Forum
Innovations within our marketplace are continuously screened for sustainability, viability and commercial potential. You won’t find any innovations that are only slightly better than the really bad! To make an impact in the Globe Forum marketplace the innovation has to embody a solution that will bring us all the way to a sustainable society. For this reason we would like to use the quote which sums up sustainable development, as defined by The Brundtland Commission:
“Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
Hence innovations promoted on our marketplace have to be proactive, sustainable in the long term and address the problem areas which distinguish our present society from a sustainable society.
We are not robots, Meet the right people
The Globe Forum marketplace is an open platform where communication can flow freely, however we do enjoy meeting our members in real life. Every quarter we gather top sustainability professionals and allow our best innovators to pitch us the future at live Forums occurring all over the world.
It is your choice whether you would like to just jack into a Forum online. The idea is the same, a chance to take part in discussion presented by thought-leaders, build relationships, engage with industry experts and share knowledge and ideas via focused Forums. By connecting people we can create relationships beyond financial transactions, and build a global community expressing support and encouragement of one another.
